What will this Week Hold?

I always look ahead to a new week with so much hope, but that hope is often bolstered if I have a plan. Facing a week with two preschoolers can sometimes be daunting, but with a plan, a great week can be had. I was reminded this week how important a calendar can be in the life of a family. With that in mind, I am happy to introduce a new partner, Momagenda.com. More to come on that partnership, in the meantime, check out the happenings in and around Knoxville, and take time to enjoy our fair city.

Monday, September 29

For those of us with little ones, it is sometimes a great treat just to enjoy doing nothing, (well that is really relative) but enjoy a low key day with your children by not scheduling anything and just enjoy playing with them. Go on a leaf hunt for some beautiful Fall foliage and paste them on paper or between clear contact paper. Most importantly, take time to enjoy your life!

If you start to get stir crazy, let loose at free Salsa Lessons at World Grotto at 9:00 pm - Monday deserves a happy hour, don't you think?

Tuesday, September 30

Today is a great opportunity to get some culture in your life, and I don't mean yogurt! The Knoxville Symphony will be offering free concerts at local libraries this week. Today at 10:30 you and your family can enjoy a free concert at the Farragut Library. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful park surrounding this library.

Wednesday, October 1

If you missed yesterday's KSO concert check out the one at Cedar Bluff library today at 11:00. Take time to enjoy the music, and go across the street to enjoy a great lunch at the Lunchbox on Parkside Dr. This locally owned eatery is FIFE worthy. Get lunch to go or eat in. Don't forget Walker Springs Park is just around the corner and is a great location for a Fall picnic with your kiddos. If you opt for the park, don't forget to pack riding toys or strollers so you can enjoy the one mile Cavet Station Greenway

At 2:00 today, you can enjoy a flower arranging class at the Knoxville Museum of Art. Both the class and admission to the museum are free, registration is requested by calling 525-6101 ext. 232.

Thursday, October 2

Take a walk in the woods today at Cove Park. Call a friend and make each other accountable for taking a walk. What's more to love about a day of walking and talking with a friend. Enjoy the moment and don't forget to look around.

Friday, October 3

The kids will enjoy the live Veggie Tales show, "God Made You Special" at 1 pm and 6:30 pm at the Knoxville Christian Center on Cedar Bluff Rd.
Ijams is hosting Teen Bug Night at 7:30
Movies on the Square is tonight with festivities starting at 7:30
For some adult fun, check out Wine on the Water, a great event for a great cause
That's just a start! Fall in Knoxville is full of things to do, so take your pick! The weekend holds possibility galore, so FIFE it up!
